I am hosting 3 different guests in 2 weeks – A not so easy reflection

Lately I have been hosting many people in my home.

All from different parts of my life, that have contributed to my story.

When one would leave another would enter, making my home feel like an airbnb during a busy time of my life.

The challenge has been making space for everyone while making mental ‘space’ for myself.

Like the changing seasons – I have been experiencing different phases in life that involve intense periods of either work or play.

I recently completed a period of play [travelling], and now look to the future as a period of building.

From being inspired by online communities, I find the balance has been key to achieve my goals, however I will admit there still has been some setbacks.

The first comes from realizing that not everyone is on the same wavelength as me, because of what season they are in life.

The second is in carving time for my work hours while still making time for the people visiting me.

Although in the end there was a huge realization from it all.

I found it so easy to be lost in the grind of just working I forgot the other meaningful parts of life.

  1. The reality is, the time spent with loved ones are the things you will remember forever.
  2. Why you are building in the first place is the very reason for the kind of life you want to achieve daily.

Meeting others reminds me of the simple joys of life; eating together, fires, late night drives, going for walks, or sharing stories.

Though my space has been a revolving door, the time balance between ensuring I achieve my work in the day versus spending quality time with my guests makes me more motivated to balance.

Ultimately, seeing my inner ability to experience both the grind and joys of life creates a polarizing drive to keep pushing.

Regardless of what season you are in dear reader, realize that what you love and aspire to create can be achieved.
