Changing Seasons, Changing Thoughts.

“Really?”

“Yes every year we drive to see the change of leaves”

Said my new friends from over the border to see the change in colors of the Fall in Canada.

One of the most brilliant things about living in Canada is the full extent of the seasons.

Unlike other parts of the world that have stable [I think, fingers crossed with climate change] climates in Canada we get a ‘full send’ every 4 months or so.

As a result, the people of the nation prepare and sense the energetic shifts of the earth and plan accordingly.

The uniqueness of each season is like a flavor of energy that everyone participates in.

  • Summer → Vitality, expression, fun
  • Autumn → Reflection, preparation, cozy
  • Winter → Stability, endurance, bonding
  • Spring → Awakening, shedding, refresh

For a while, I didn’t always appreciate the changes because of the somewhat fast transition of the next season.

But just as I have been experiencing in life – “change is the only constant”In Canada, we are blessed to also experience this firsthand in our environment.

The 4-month cycles offer a perspective on how we align our efforts and priorities. Even when to embrace the time for play or work.

This upcoming Autumn and Winter months for me are a time of deep reflection.

Looking back at the year, the accomplishments, lessons, loss, love, and thrills of life has blessed me.

I will always prefer warmer sunny days because of my affinity for the expansive energy it brings.

When it becomes, cold and darker, my instinct is to focus on building and learning, connecting.

Syncing energy, mood, priorities, and focus with the seasons has its benefits.

For the first time in a while, I am sort of excited for the colder months because of the growth and infinite things to choose to learn.

How do you react to the seasons?
